Google Nexus 4 – A Great Addition to the Big Nexus Family

Google Nexus 4 is of the same level as its predecessors – nice sleek stylish design, great build and an amazing powerful addition to the android family. We may go as far as to say that the Nexus 4 is one of those devices that just meet all of our anticipated expectations. Maybe the worst kept secret after the release of iPhone for is the one of the Nexus 4. Just like the iPhone 4 prototype, which had been forgotten at a bar, the Google Nexus 4 had the same destiny. Even by the first photos of the phone you could say that it is a mesmerizing phone, however the feel of it is even greater.

  • Having the size of 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm, the Google Nexus 4 is similar to its predecessor, but is far more powerful. The display is surrounded by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 in black. The chromatic shiny frame spreads to the back panel of the display, which has a little unusual design of little shining dots. It weighs 139 grams, a bit heavy for a smart phone, but this is the thing that gives it the most solid feel you can have from an Android device.
  • The screen is invisible when it is turned off, but when it’s on you can be surprised by the picture quality and brightness of this 4.7 inch True HD IPS Plus display. The resolution is 768 by 1280 pixel with pixel density of 318 ppi. The round corner of the side of the display makes the phone look even more stylish. A 3.5 mm headphones slot is put on the top. The buttons for manipulation of the sound levels are on the side, as is the microSIM slot. The USB port is on the bottom side of the device. The button for start/restart/locking the device is on the upper right side.
  • The back panel of the display can’t be opened, which means that you can’t replace the battery or add in additional memory, which is a bit disappointing for a device of such a level not to support micro SD slot. Google says that they removed the slot, because it’s “confusing”. However, the lack of microSD can cause some serious problems to the ones who don’t want to keep their files in the cloud or just don’t have a fast internet connection.
  • The phone has the latest DC-HSDPA connection, the newest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2, a chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon, quadruple-core 1,5 GHz processor, A-GPS with GLONASS and NFC chip.

Overall the Google Nexus 4 is a great phone and it comes at such a great price – just $299 for the 8 GigaByte version and $349 for the 16 GigaByte version, which puts the phone in front of other competitors in the big smartphone race. A real powerful addition to the Google Nexus Family, the Nexus 4 is produced by LG and can already be ordered for delivery online.
