Over the last few years, the demand of big-screen smartphones has increased considerably. A big screen offers wonderful web browsing, gaming as well as image viewing experience. HTC has been successful in introducing a number of smartphones in recent times and some of them have performed really well in the market. HTC 8X is a high-end Windows-based smartphone. It has got a right combination of design as well as high-end features. This phone is also known as “Pyramid” as the internal components of the phone are stacked in the shape of a pyramid. Most of the body of the phone is composed of high-grade soft matte polycarbonate plastic. Its superb design allows it to easily slip in the pocket and it’s comfortable to carry too. As of now, it’s available in two colours that include greenish-yellow and dark blue. The yellow colour looks more funky and appealing, whereas blue is more sober and professional.

This phone is taller than its counterparts but weighs only 4.6 ounces. On the front side, there is a 4.3 inch display LCD 2 screen which is protected by Gorilla Glass. It supports 341 pixels per inch, which makes HTC 8X as the highest-density screen phone available in the market today. The Camera, Power and Volume buttons can be found on the sides of the panel. The 1,800 mAh battery is quiet decent and provides over 8 hours of talk-time. The call quality is also satisfactory and the Beats-powered headphones are a great addition to the phone.

HTC 8X supports a large number of frequency bands, thereby allowing it connect to the LTE and HSPA+ networks. In terms of connectivity options, the handset also supports NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, Wi-Fi etc. This phone uses a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 Krait processor, which is capable of providing benchmark results. Since it’s a Windows-based phone the range of apps that is available for HTC 8 X is not as wide as in case of Symbian or Android based phones, still you can access thousands of Windows apps online.

The Beats Audio technology used in the device along with 2.5V amplifiers provide superb multimedia experience in HTC 8X. An 8 MP primary camera is provided in the phone and provides you with some superb shots even in the low light conditions. The front 2MP camera given in the phone is much better as compared to its competitors.
