HTC One SV – A Perfect Blend of Two Great Devices

HTC One SV may be considered as combination of HTC One S and HTC One V. It is not a top shelf offering by a manufacturer; instead it is aimed towards affordable LTE, which comes with a range of useful and affordable features.

HTC One SV consists of a beautiful body that measures just 7.8 mm in thickness and is very narrow as compared to various other devices. It is very comfortable to hold and carry and fits the hands easily. As of now this phone is available in just four colors including white, black, red and grey. On the top front side of the phone, you will see an earpiece under the finely drilled holes in the body, which looks quite similar to the one in HTC One S. An LED indicator is placed next to the earpiece. One SV consists of proximity sensor and light sensors which are hidden under the glass below the display. Overall, the design of the phone is quite pleasing and noticeable.

HTC One SV sports a bigger 4.3 inch screen that supports a 800 x 480 pixels resolution Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display. One S sports the PenTile matrix layout which implies that each pixel has either BG or RG sub pixels instead of the usual RGB sub pixels that are found in other regular displays. Even though the colors of the display might seem slightly over saturated for you but they still look great. The viewing angles are pretty decent and the white balance is apt. The display is not as good as HTC One S’s but considering the price of the device, it delivers a decent performance.

HTC One SV comes with a dual core 1.2 GHz dual-core Krait CPU, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that imparts satisfactory performance to this great smartphone. One S has got 1 GB of RAM along with 8 GB of internal storage space. For additional storage space, you can use a microSD card in this phone.

Android version 4.0.4 ICS powers HTC One SV. The user interface used in this phone is HTC Sense 4.1 Even though the manufacturer has not claimed availability of an upgrade version for this phone, there are strong reports that Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean will be available soon. The 5 MP camera of HTC One S comes with various additional features like Geo Tagging and Face Detection and delivers decent performance.
