Sony’s New Entry Level Smartphone: Sony Xperia E

In the last year Sony played a very smart move by introducing some really good entry-level smartphones in the market. This strategy by Sony paid well as some of its entry-level devices paid off handsomely. Continuing the same trend, Sony introduced its new Xperia E which is a brilliant entry level smartphone consisting of some really exciting and useful features.

The specs of Sony Xperia E might not be ideal to the user; however it still makes this phone a great competitor in its own class or category. The hardware is not a problem to its demanding 720p display. Xperia E may be considered as a modified version of Xperia Tipo, which was a popular budget phone introduced last year. Xperia E is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version OS. A powerful processor of 1 GHz powers this device supported by 512 MB RAM.

Like other Xperia models, Sony Xperia E has got a brilliant design. As it weighs just 115.7 grams, it’s very easy and comfortable for the user to carry this phone. Xperia E sports a screen measuring 3.5 inches and provides a decent resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. There is a 1530 mAh battery in the phone that provides you with six hours of talk time and more than 530 hours of standby time. A 3.2 MP camera is loaded in this device. The camera seems to be apt for this budget smartphone and shoots pictures at 2048 x 1536 pixels. Event though there is no secondary camera and additional camera features in the phone, the digital zoom and auto focus feature seems to be appropriate for this device. The in-built memory of this phone is 4 GB, out of which just 2 GB is available for the user. However, you can overcome this memory limitation by using a microSD card to up to 32 GB. You can access high speed internet connectivity through Wi-Fi as well as 3G networks. Apart from this, microUSB as well as Bluetooth feature is available in this phone to enable easy transfer of files. In Sony Xperia E you will see many entertainment features including FM, media players, pre-loaded games etc.

Lastly, considering the price of this device, it offers you plenty of fun and exciting features that can be found in many higher end devices. You can treat it as a great musical and gaming device rather than just a communication device.
