In a few days time, we will be stepping into 2013 with new vision, new hope and new horizon. This one week of 2012 is important recollecting what we have achieved, have done, have seen and of course which phones we have lured. Below is a small recommendation about which 5 phones topped the list this year.
1. Samsung Galaxy S3
Shall we say it to be “Phone of the Year? Yes, why not, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been the best Android smartphone in 2012 and it even gave a tough competition to Apple’s iPhone 5. Fueled by Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery, available in colors options of Pebble blue, Marble white, Amber brown, Garnet red, Sapphire black, Titanium grey and La Fleur, the phone is powered by one of the best processor – quad-core Exynos, and sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen. It is mounted with 8MP camera, autofocus, LED flash, and runs on Android v4.0.4 OS, upgradable to 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).
2. Google Nexus 4
Google Nexus 4 by LG has been combined with suitable price and chilled virtue that have ever been seen since the Nexus One made by HTC. Its hardware impressed everyone with stunning 4.7-inch 720 IPS Screen, adding new features of Android 4.2. It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon processor to ensure excellent performance. Its battery gives good standby though it is lacking of removable storage. As a whole the device look attractive at low price.
3. HTC One X
This is the phone we liked but not really loved it. However, the modified HTC one X+ later captured the market. Well, the One X comes with rich matte black body in red accents adding edge. The phone feels richer. It has 1GB of RAM with upgraded quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and has been able to complete everyday work. Its battery gives standby period from morning till late night. It sports a 4.7-inch super LCD 2 display and is mounted with 8-megapixel rear camera overlayed with HTC Sense.
4: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Samsung announced later this year successor of its super hit phablet – the Galaxy Note 2. No doubt this device is big with quad-core processor, but it has brilliant gaming performance for teenager. It sports 5.5-inch Super AMOLDED screen that makes it perfect for watch movies. It runs on Android’s Jelly Bean OS. This device is not for everyone, if someone need S-Pen then it is for them..
5. Sony Xperia S
When trend is for quad-core, Sony comes out with a Dual-core flagship – the Sony Xperia S. Its architect with high density pixel screen captured the global market. Its design is bold enough to boast both style and substance. It is equipped with 12-megapixel compact camera, but mounted with weaker flash and this makes the Xperia S a bad choice for many photo enthusiasts. Xperia S was upgraded to Android 4.0 earlier and later updated to Jelly Bean, promptly after Google announced the source code.
